Principal's Message
Dear ACIC Family and Community;
I cannot begin to express how excited, thankful, and blessed I am to begin my first year as the new principal at Allen County Intermediate Center. Prior to serving as principal, I served in the role of Assistant Principal at ACIC since 2022, and before beginning my administrative journey, I was a special education teacher, instructional assistant, assistant coach and head coach at James E Bazzell Middle School for 10 years. I firmly believe that my various experiences over the past 12 years have prepared me to continue the great work that is happening at ACIC!
Regardless of the title or role I occupied throughout my 12 years in education, one thing that always guided me was my belief in the kind of culture I wanted to create for my students, families, and players. That is something that I will continue to be hyper focused on as I embark on this new journey as principal. I remain steadfast in my belief that school culture and relationships remain the most important part of a successful school. At ACIC we will always strive to provide a safe, loving, and embracing place where meeting the needs of ALL of our students remains the top priority.
As a lifelong Patriot, and a father of 3 students, I wholeheartedly believe that this is the absolute best time to be a student in the Allen County School District! Our school and district remains committed to fostering the growth and development of the whole child and embraces the opportunity to prepare our students for life beyond the four walls of a classroom.
This year, at ACIC, we look to challenge our students, staff, and families to embrace the mentality of “leading with PRIDE” in everything they do. It is no coincidence that perseverance is a key component in our PRIDE acronym, as this is a key quality of overcoming adversity and reaching our goals! Fittingly, this year’s theme is ‘CHALLENGE ACCEPTED’, in the spirit that students learn to persevere through whatever challenges they may face in order to become empowered resilient leaders of the future.
One of the most special things about growing up and living in a small town, is that we have all witnessed and experienced the true meaning of “it takes a village to raise a child”. I want you all to know that if you ever need anything, or if I can help answer any questions, feel free to reach me at 2706188200 or email me at jeremy.simmons@allen.kyschools.us
LEAD WITH PRIDE!
Jeremy Simmons
